"The work was created through a close dialogue with Professor Kai Wartiainen. It aimed at balanching the steep gradient of the courtyard and providing the space with novel, impressive dynamics varying in effect according to the point of perception. Seasonal variations - the gentle touch of first snow, the dense foliation of the trees - produce a variety of different appearances. (..) The immaterial net structure of the work aims to emphasise the spatial ambience of the inner courtyard, " (Finnish Architectural Review, 2/1999, p.52)
